“IVC has been associated with TimberSoft since 1997. We wanted a system to expand on efficiencies from the WoodWork DOS system and move to a Windows environment. The new system is very user friendly. We have improved our utilization of handheld computers in the log yard, sawmill, and veneer grading. It allows us to interact with the system without being tied to a terminal, and has improved the accuracy of data. The use of bar-coded tags and touch-screen terminals are other nice features. At ITV the system has the ability to easily transfer data to companies custom cutting. Perhaps the biggest improvement from the DOS system is the report writing capabilities. Crystal Reports allows us the flexibility to customize reports for better decision making.”
