Handheld

• Canadian Custom Papers to Handheld Log Purchase System

Handheld-Deliveries

• "Wait Screens" will have a progress bar, so the user has a visual representation of the progress of loading, and wait times.
• The screens will be in color for better visual clarification.
• A wireless status screen in Options. It will show signal strength, as well as network info (wireless SSID, assigned IP, and DHCP info if DHCP is enabled)
• A function that will check the signal strength before every post to SQL and if the signal is lost the program automatically reverts to batch mode displaying a message.

Cellular Phone Connection

• A simple Log and Veneer inventory program based on a mobile web link to the company server.

Handheld

• A wireless test function. Before, if the wireless checkbox was checked, the program assumed that there was a wireless connection, and it would error out if there was not. This new function for the wireless programs will check to make sure that there is a wireless adapter, that it is connected to an access point, that it has an assigned IP, and that the SQL server is running, and capable of sending data to the HH. It will do this all in a little under 1 second.

Cellular Phone Connection

• Working on a small demo for a cellular phone connection that would allow a user to "Call" up data from the main server on their cellular phone if it is web capable.

System Wide

· Placement of Back and Next buttons on screens throughout all programs.

· Revamping of screens to larger, darker fonts for easier viewing.

· Speeding up transmission of data to and from server.

· Smart drop-downs for tables. When typing in first letters, listing of available, applicable selections can be seen.

· Completely enhanced menu system with passwords.

Log Purchases

· Allow Undoing of cost distributions.

· Add Find Log function to main menu. Show which Log Sale or Purchase a log is in, and allow viewing of status screen.

· Enhance price override. Distribute difference in override and actual costs to existing costs.

· Include numeric species short cut 1 - 10 (0) with drop-down capability.

Log Deliveries

· Make Touch-Screen feature toggle On-Off for weather conditions.

· No-tag log number auto-increment feature.

Log Sales

· Store costs on handheld so Profit & Loss can be printed from handheld.

· Allow Undoing of cost distributions and sales with password protection.

· Add Find Log function to main menu. Show which Log Sale or Purchase a log is in, and allow viewing of status screen.

· Ability to Sell from a Pre-Sale.

· Add From Pre-Sale button in log sale header.

· 1st log of Pre-Sale comes up and allows the stepping thru of fields (Len, Dia, Grade, $ etc.).

· Logs come up in Pre-Sale order with ability to skip (don’t buy button).

· Add diameter cutback field to grid.

· Enhance price override. Distribute difference in override and actual costs to existing costs.

Reports

Standing Timber

· Auto-post Log Cutting Fee and Commissions into Standing Timber Job from associated Log Purchase.

Deliveries

· Be able to split logs by retagging the second half and keeping the original log number of the first half.

· Be able to retag logs at anytime. Sequence would adjust accordingly.

· Ability to create a log number and post it as a purchase at Log Delivery when the tag has been lost or for a “free” log without using Log Purchases, saving data entry time.

Log Sales

· If the Log Sale was marked up, show how it was marked up, by Rate per thousand Board feet or dollar amount, and by how much.

· Enhanced Drill-downs. Have drill-down by both entered and posted date.

Saw

· Ability to create a log number and post it as a purchase at the Saw when the tag has been lost without using Log Purchases, saving data entry time.

Clipping Program

· In Repair program, display reason for Logs from clipping time file going into repair directory.

· Add Goto Log Status buttons in repair screen, both Export and WIP.

· Add Print button feature to print logs and errors from Repair program.

· Add What To Do button to tell you how to handle all error types.

· Revamp processing of clipping and saw files. Strategically place all steps, overrides, flags and tables into one screen.

Veneer Purchases

· Bundle Entry.

Reports

· Add reports to Woodwork Menu in strategic locations instead of going thru browser.

· Add post reports to report structure.

· Veneer Report - All inclusive profit report
