If you put a __G in the Buyer Code field on the PC this will down load all information for a Buyer Code with One character left of the G and has to end in a G.)
• New FREIGHT TABLE and Multiple Freight Rate System added. This allows the entry and tracking of separate freights on different species within a purchase/parcel. It also allows multiple freight entries on the same species. This then becomes fully accessible for reporting issues.
• Added a new table call DELIVERY TERMS. This table is utilized in the Multiple Freight Rate System. It is completely driven by the user. Examples would be FOB, EXW, CIF, and any other user defined descriptions.

• Multiple species were previously added for French and German. A new table has been added for Euro English. This will allow for different English spellings that are necessary for the European market in the log purchasing system and for reporting purposes.
• The Country table is now tied to the Regions. This allows for quick access within the log purchase system. (i.e. When a Country is selected only those regions tied to that country will be available in the selection box. This eliminates unnecessary data clutter.)
• Cubic Meter Freight is now based on per cubic Meter calculation.
• A new flag was added for placing a “HOLD” on all transmitted log purchases from the Handheld to the server. Upon transfer the purchase will remain in an “On Hold–No Delete” mode until manually removed from the handheld.

Handhelds

Cruising Timber

· TimberSoft has recently created a cruising timber program for use on the handheld. Similar in setup and design of the Purchase/Sales program in that Cruising Timber allows you to create a header containing all pertinent information to a Cruise such as assign it a number, name, county and town. You can also create remarks to associate with each cruise and then create price per 1000 board feet for costs such as Clean up, cut/skid, haul, road, landing, move in and other.

· While in the detail associated with each header the user will be able to quickly key in data for each tree using a combination of pull down lists for species and FC table numbers and the handheld keypad for items such as Dbh, number of logs, Length and cost.

· As data is input the program will continually update valuable totals and display them on the side of the screen. Totals such as total number of trees sampled, total board footage of sampled trees, estimated yield in veneer in board feet, total number of veneer logs and the net amount of the veneer for the cruise.

· Like Purchase/Sales the user can also setup custom details for their handheld such as User information, company information, Pricing, species, scale and county.

· Data can also be exchanged between the handheld and the company server either through a high speed Internet connection or through a phone modem. The buyer may load their supporting tables or transfer their Cruises to the company server.

Main Menu

· To simplify locating Woodwork programs on the handheld TimberSoft has incorporated a Main Menu that provides direct links to needed programs and broken into categories according to application.

· This function is called TSIMenu.vb and is located in the root of the TimberSoft folder on your handheld. This function will not be available if an update to the Woodwork program on the handheld has not been preformed in the last 2 months.

Color Screens

· DAP, the manufacture of the handheld equipment used by TimberSoft has introduced a new model with color screens. In an effort to accommodate this, TimberSoft has adjusted its programming accordingly and we are now able to offer woodwork in color on the handheld. The new color screens have a much brighter back lighting and in turn have a far better level of clarity than the older monochrome screens.

Pocket PC

· As a time saving tool and also as a means of measuring accuracy of numbers TimberSoft has developed a program to run in real-time on a standard Pocket PC allowing users to quickly look up critical information in the system.

· This simple to use and fast system will be able to pull up data from your server anywhere you have a wireless connection. Some of the functions include the ability to look up log inventory, do a "Drill-down" by buyer, check production status, look at various finished goods data, including inventory and summaries and the ability to look up log and veneer sales by customer, buyer and date range.

Sales, Production, Inventory Graphs

· TimberSoft has created several production graphs that can be accessed through the toolbar on the main Woodwork menu. These graphs offer a powerful tool for comparing numbers, monitoring patterns in the company and seeing an overall picture of production and sales.

· The available graphs include Log inventory displaying information according to buyer, specie, grade as well as by logs not received.

· There are production graphs relating to sawmills, slicers, dryers and clippers. Also in production is a general production monitor showing all production areas at on one graph.

· The sales graphs offer a pie style break down of total sales by buyer or species. There is also a profitability graph for both buyer and specie. And finally there is a monthly total graph showing either monthly totals in dollars or square meters.
